Kaziranga, Assam – Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Assam’s Kaziranga National Park today, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. He highlighted the park’s rich biodiversity, including its iconic one-horned rhinoceros population, and encouraged citizens to visit and experience its splendor.
During his visit, PM Modi interacted with the park’s women forest guards, the Van Durga team, commending their efforts in protecting the area’s natural resources. He also fed sugarcane to elephants named Lakhimai, Pradyumna, and Phoolmai.
In social media posts, the Prime Minister stated, “Nestled amidst lush greenery, this UNESCO World Heritage site is blessed with diverse flora and fauna including the majestic one-horned rhinoceros.” He emphasized the park’s beauty and the warmth of its people, calling it “a place where every visit enriches the soul and connects you deeply with the heart of Assam.”
